SECAUCUS, N.J. – (January 3, 2008) The 2008 Northern New Jersey Auto Show will display hundreds of the latest cars, trucks, crossovers and sport/utility vehicles at the Meadowlands Exposition Center Saturday, January 19 through Sunday, January 20 and Thursday, January 24 through Sunday, January 27. This exciting event will feature something for everyone including a concept car from Suzuki, ultra high-end exotics from the prestigious duPont REGISTRY™, fuel-efficient hybrids and more.
This automotive extravaganza will allow attendees to check out all the latest vehicles in a non-selling environment. Showgoers are invited to sit behind the steering wheels, inspect engines and learn about new automotive technologies in many of the new model vehicles.
On display will be several exciting, all-new or redesigned 2008-model vehicles including the Audi R8, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Mitsubishi Lancer, Ford Focus, BMW 3 Series Convertible, Lincoln MKX, Saturn Vue, Suzuki SX4 and a collection of hybrids including models from Chevrolet, Nissan, Ford, Toyota, Mercury and more. The show will also offer an up close look at recently crowned Motor Trend 2008 Car and Truck of the Year – the Cadillac CTS and Toyota Tundra.
Concept cars will provide consumers a glimpse into the innovative future of automotive design. Concept cars scheduled to appear include the Suzuki RoadRace, a customized street version of the Suzuki SX4 built by Road Race Motorsports. This exciting concept features a flashy two-tone paint scheme, shaved roof racks and a vented carbon fiber hood, as well as custom 18-inch Enkei NTO+3 wheels and Toyo Proxes sport tires. For the first time ever at the Northern New Jersey Auto Show, luxury will take over when the world-famous duPont REGISTRY™ showcases a collection of ultra high-end exotic and high-performance vehicles. Also on display will be an eye-popping collection of high-dollar value Lamborghini models including the Murcielago LP640, Gallardo Superleggera and Gallardo Spyder, courtesy of Lamborghini Bergen County. These jaw-dropping stunners are sure to wow the crowds!
On both Kids Days, Sunday, January 20 and Sunday, January 27, children 11 and younger are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Bring the kids to the auto show on Sunday, January 20, from noon to 4 p.m. to enjoy family-friendly entertainment with face painting and balloon art. Then on Sunday, January 27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Spider-Man® will swing by the auto show to greet fans and pose for photos with children of all ages.
The Northern New Jersey Auto Show will be open to the public Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, January 20 and continues Thursday, January 24 through Sunday, January 27, at the Meadowlands Exposition Center, located at
355 Plaza Drive in Secaucus, New Jersey. Show hours are Saturday, January 19, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday, January 20, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 24 and Friday, January 25, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, January 26, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, January 27, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission to the event is $8 for adults and $4 for seniors (62 and older) and children (4-11). Children three and younger are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. Attendees will receive a free one-year subscription to Motor Trend magazine with each purchase of auto show tickets, courtesy of GEICO.
