UNIONDALE, N.Y. - (September 24, 2007) The high energy IGX Video Game Arena, produced by Interactive Game Experience (IGX), is coming to Auto Expo 2008 - The Long Island Auto Show Thursday, October 18 through Sunday, October 21, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Featuring four great days of electronic gaming entertainment, the attraction is free to all ticketed visitors and will be open all show hours.

The newest features in electronic gaming are included in the IGX Video Game Arena and provide players a more interactive experience. Gaming consoles include peripheral products such as the Sony Eye Toy which projects the player into the game through light and motion technology, and the new Sony Guitar Hero 2 which makes everyone a rock star. At any one time up to 17 of the latest driving and sports-entertainment games from major game publishers will be available for play. The games rated "E" (Everyone), "T" (Teen), "T10" (Teen) and/or "C" (Children) provide a variety of interactive challenges for auto show visitors of all ages.
Electronic gaming is one of the fastest growing industries and increasingly appeals to families as a recreation option. In recent studies sited by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), it is reported that parents are playing games more often than ever-and not just with their kids, but as a way to unwind and spend time together. The results point out, 44 percent of parents
surveyed said they play games "to spend time together doing something [we] both enjoy." Thirty-five percent of American parents say they play computer and video games. Further, 80 percent of gamer parents say they play video games with their kids. Sixty-six percent feel that playing games has brought their families closer together.
