ANAHEIM, Calif. - (September 3, 2013) The 2014-Model Orange County International Auto Show brings more than 500 all-new vehicles, 100 vehicles to test drive, exotics, classics and more into the Anaheim Convention Center Thursday, October 3 through Sunday, October 6. The convention center will transform into an auto mecca featuring the latest cars, exotics, alternative fuel models, celebrity rides, classics, hot rods, tricked-out tuners and more, as well as an entertainment hub of attractions including an off-road test track, climbing walls for kids, interactive robots and more. From car geeks to car shoppers, there is something for everyone at the Orange County International Auto Show!
This show kicks-off the 2014-model auto show season, offering showgoers the chance to compare hundreds of new models side by side from more than 35 manufacturers all in one place. Attendees can inspect engines, kick tires, count cup holders, check trunk space, test drive vehicles and take in that new car smell. Several new models will turn heads on the show floor including the Audi SQ5, Cadillac CTS Sedan, Cadillac ELR, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Chevrolet Corvette Coupe, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible, Fiat 500L, Kia Cadenza, Lexus IS, Mercedes CLA Class, 2014 Porsche Panamera, Nissan Versa Note, Volvo S60 and more.
Concepts, pre-production models and specialty vehicles will shine at the auto show including the 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo DJ V2 REMIX Lab Chrome, 2014 SpongeBob Toyota Highlander, Cadillac ELR, Cadillac CTS Sedan, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Nissan Rougue, Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybird and more. Manufacturers will also bring special features to the auto show including Hank the Ford Robot and a Kia driving simulator.
In addition to perusing the hundreds of cars inside the auto show, attendees are invited to test drive more than 100 new model vehicles from more than a dozen manufacturers. There are more opportunities to get behind the wheel at the auto show than ever before from Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, GMC, Jeep®, Ram, Scion, Toyota, Volkswagen and the all-new ride and drives from Kia, Lincoln and Mazda.
This year, attendees will have the rare opportunity to ride in a Lamborghini, at the Lamborghini Dream Ride. Showgoers simply text in a special code they receive at the auto show for the chance to win a ride in a Lamborghini with a professional driver. Rides will be awarded every hour on Friday, from 12 noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Follow the camera flashes to the crowds surrounding a million dollar collection of ultra-high-end exotics from Bentley, Lamborghini, McLaren, Ferrari, Maserati, Saleen and more including a 2014 Bentley Flying Spur, Lamborghini Aventador, McLaren MP4-12C, Saleen S7 and more. Luxury car enthusiasts will also enjoy a stunning collection of ultra exotic vehicles, in the duPont REGISTRY Live display!
New this year, and ideal for the little ones, is the Hometown Heroes Display, presented by the OC Register. Here, kids can sit inside the vehicles that keep the community safe, and meet the people that drive them. From police cars to fire and rescue, vehicles from the Anaheim Police Department, Anaheim Fire Department and Anaheim Public Utilities Department will be available for hands-on exploring on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Also on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, kids of all ages can test drive RIDEMAKERZ customizable, radio-control cars on a fun, closed-circuit track. Showgoers can purchase their very own RIDE to race home with right at the RIDEMAKERZ booth! Plus, one RIDEMAKERZ RIDE will be given away each day, along with other great giveaways throughout the weekend, while supplies last.
Returning to the Orange County International Auto Show, Camp Jeep® Anaheim is the interactive adventure zone where professional 4x4 drivers take passengers through an exciting off-road test track. A popular destination inside the show, the Jeep® test track will thrill passengers with logs, stumps, angled drive-overs and a 35-degree Jeep® Mountain, an exciting hill climb demonstrating the Jeep's traction capabilities! A DJ spinning live music will entertain crowds, while children are invited to test drive a mini-Power Jeep® and enjoy a 25' rock climbing wall!
Experience the cool, club-like atmosphere of the West Coast automotive customizing scene at Al & Ed's Autosound! This special car culture showcase will feature the latest in car personalization, mobile electronics and aftermarket accessories colliding with sport compacts, high-performance rides and luxury vehicles. Highlights include the Chevrolet SSR Tailgater with a custom-designed, motorized truck bed featuring a stainless steel propane BBQ, refrigerator, KVH Tracvision Satellite TV receiver, Vizio L32 32' LCD television and four Eclipse 10-inch subwoofers! Also don't miss the Alpine BMW X5 The Ultimate Listening Machine!
Classic car fans are invited to check out the new Wall of Fame, a showcase of the top picks, the best of the best, from Southern California. Orange County Vintage Chevrolet Club of America and Cruisin' For A Cure will showcase retro favorites including a 1956 Sedan Delivery, 1957 Chevrolet Convertible 1958 Chevrolet, Fleetside Truck, 1964 Chevelle El Camino and more! Additionally, the Hot Rod Experience, courtesy of Hot Rod Magazine, will offer vintage vehicle fans a rare first-hand look at more than 30 classics, muscle cars, street rods and hot rods. Several of the showcased vehicles have graced the covers or have been featured inside the pages of Hot Rod Magazine.
Aftermarket aficionados should also check out wild paint jobs and eye-popping engines, at the SHIFTR Automotive and Lifestyle Expo featuring stunning exotics, drift cars, lowriders, tuners and more. Also, don't miss a collection of celebrity rides at the DUB® Magazine Celebrity Car Showcase, as well as highly customized SEMA creations including the Tjin Edition 2013 Ford Fusion, 1976 Chevrolet Impala Glasshouse and 1997 Acura NSX-T created by Neil Tjin, one of the automotive industry's most influential custom car designers.

- Hooters Wing Eating Contest - Watch contestants at the Hooters hot wing eating competition on Friday at 7 p.m.
- Hooters' Miss OC International Auto Show Contest - Cheer your favorite Hooters Girls as they walk the runway on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
- Every Day is Family Day! Bring the kids for fun for all ages and kids 12 and younger are free when accompanied by a paying adult, compliments of the OC Register. Special activities for the little ones include a scavenger hunt, mini electric vehicle test rides and more.
The Orange County International Auto Show will be open to the public Thursday, October 3 through Sunday, October 6, at the Anaheim Convention Center, located at 800 W. Katella Avenue in Anaheim. Show hours are Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, from 12 noon to 10 p.m., Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Follow the signs for convention center parking, located on West Street, just south of Katella (more than 5,500 parking spaces available). Free Angels Stadium weekend parking with shuttle to the show is available for showgoers. Admission is $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens (62 and older) and military (w/any DOD ID). Every day is Register Family Day sponsored by the OC Register, at the auto show for children 12 and under who are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
